Jon Hamm: Mad Men’s Rising Star
By Fred Topel | Jul 23 When the Emmy Award nominations were announced last week the big winner was AMC’s new phenomena "Mad Men," the new series set in a 1960s Madison Avenue ad agency. The series has made an overnight star of Jon Hamm, who plays the leading ad man at the firm Sterling Cooper. The basic cable series received 16 Emmy nominations last week, with Hamm getting a nod for Best Actor in a Drama. EDGE spoke with the British actor about the series and his new-found celebrity.
